I'll display the pretties first, shall I?
February was actually quite a bargainous (good!) month on the beauty front. I found the Miners lipbalm and the Rimmel Cuticle Oil for cheaps at TJ Hughes, while I obtained two spray alcohol hand gels for the low low price of £0.69. They'll be good for quickly disinfecting/cleaning brushes. I've also included a BeautyUK Metallic Eye Sparks on top of the paints. I don't really feel the need to talk about these in depth as it's already on my blog - linked for your convienience, naturally.
Rituals Lipgloss - I won this from the lovely Anne at Witoxicity a while back and I'm still loving it. It smells gorgeous and has a really interesting reflective blue shimmer. Best of all, it's completely non-sticky. I'm not a fan of sticky lipglosses, at all. It's such a pity that this brand doesn't appear to be widely available in the UK...
Wilcinson's Acrylic Paint - This was just £2.05, and I use it with the nail art brushes that I purchased from eBay to create nail art. It's also really useful for decoden. A post on that will come sometime in the future, lol.
Awesome. Now I have some things to ask my readers, if you guys don't mind :)
1. Sponsored posts, yes/no? I've always had anonymous comments allowed so please comment in that form if you feel more comfortable with that. I won't hold a grudge against anyone.
2. Does anyone know where to purchase Essence cosmetics (specifically their new gel nails set) in store in the UK? Is it even possible? I'll be sad if it is not :(
3. What would you like to see more of on the blog? Are you opposed to makeup as well as nail polish on here? I realised that I didn't ask before I started featuring those products.
Again, anon comments are fine if that's what you would prefer.
Thank you in advance :)

I personally don't have an issue with sponsored posts to an extent - obviously constantly shelling out for products to blog about is costly and time consuming and not every blogger has a job paying well enough to handle that, if a job at all! What kinda annoys me is if literally every post is about freebies because it does kinda count if you are willing to part with your money for a product in the first place. I just think use common sense really.
ReplyDelete2 - I also want to know where I can find these, surely if it's in Europe it shouldn't be too hard to find but :( I don't know
And 3 - It's your blog, chuck whatever you want in!
Sorry for the essay!!!
1. Sponsored posts, yes/no? Don't mind as long as your honest in your review.
ReplyDelete2. Does anyone know where to purchase Essence cosmetics (specifically their new gel nails set) in store in the UK? No but I am hunting for them! Pretty much all over europe but not england. I did hear Ireland has there polishes though :S
3. What would you like to see more of on the blog? Blog about whatever you like :)
@ Jadey-Lou: Thanks for understanding! I agree, I do get annoyed when every post is about a freebie. Sometimes they're not even related to the blog at all, like a polish blogger blogging about things from cookie cutters to nappies to diy soap kits and drill products - all free samples, lol.
ReplyDeleteLol, it wasn't an essay! Thank you very much for your comment :)
@Enigma: Yup! I'll be honest. Promise :P I'm a pretty stubborn person, lol.
All of the mainland seems to have them, but this island gets no love :( Again, thanks for your comment!
I've just asked over on FB and they said that only availible in northern ireland :(
ReplyDeleteARGH. Northern Ireland is practically - no wait, IS - in the UK! *crying*
ReplyDeleteI guess this is payback for all those "Open to those in the UK, Northern Ireland excluded" competitions?
Anyway I appreciate you going to find out, Enigma :)
