Nails Inc - "Shoreditch"

The first of the two mini bottles. I've just applied "Little Venice" but that's going to be included in a special post so I'm not posting the photos here as of yet.

Can I just take a minute to continue raving about NYC's topcoat? I applied it last thing at night, went to bed, and woke up in the morning with no sheet marks. Incredible. It applies so thinly and dries really quickly. If this was double the price, I'd still buy it - and you don't hear me say that very often!

Onto the photos!

The formula of these seems to be much thicker than the regular line of polishes. I like it because then I don't flood my cuticles, but at the same time it does look streaky. This was three coats, when my maximum number would be two for the normal bottles. I had to use the extra coat to even everything out.

I like the colour, but it's not particularly unique. Not really digging this polish, Nails Inc.

Who else has had experience with the mini bottles?

The "Get it all in there" Nail Art

I do paint both hands but rarely show them both to you because invariable one hand looks fabulous (read, not so disgusting) and the other looks tragic.

I actually felt kind of good about these ones, though, so do have a look...

Left hand thumb.
Left hand. I used Bundle Monster Plates for all the designs shown here save the ring finger (Hello Kitty), which was done using a Konad plate. Rhinestones purchased from eBay, glitter topcoats are generic and Boots Best Friends respectively.
Claw hand strikes again! The leaves on the thumb and middle finger were made with a green nail art pen.
This is my right hand. All were Bundle Monster this time. I think. The index finger /might/ be a Konad plate. Base colours are Barry M Nail Paint in Mint Green and the generic pink that came with the generic glitter.
Dots were made with the dotting tool in the cheap brush set I ordered from eBay. I think I will have to investigate more on that front, I prefer my dots a little larger.
Right hand thumb; this is a Bundle Monster design surrounded by sequins that came in that one Poundland haul.

Lol. Everything that I'd ordered off the internet was just chucked in here into one huge long nail art spam. I did this for a not so special occasion. Those of us participating in the West Side Story musical at school (which includes moi, being in the orchestra) were ordered back to school on a Sunday, of all days, to go and rehearse. Yes, a Sunday. I kid you not. This is a Catholic school, and the beautiful irony is that the Church that they are affliated with does it's most popular mass during the times that we were meant to be at school. So I couldn't go to Church. I'm pretty lazy anyway so this wasn't a big deal for me but it's the principle, no?

I decided to be all rebellious and flout the "no long/remotely long/things on your nails/no fun nails" violin law and the "no nail polish at school" rule in one fell swoop.
Not that anyone noticed. But our music teacher is a legend - he totally ordered us pizza. So it wasn't all bad. Six extra hours of school = pizza and brownies.

Boots No7 Speed Dry Nail Colour in "Berrylicious"

It's actually a seriously hot pink, but whatever.

In what alternate universe is this the colour of a berry? A berry on crack, maybe. Not your average berry, certainly.
This colour is bizarre. For the Jigglypuff manicure, I wore two coats, no topcoat, and it went about four days before I even saw any tipwear. Understandably I was proclaiming it's awesome from rooftops, converting to Bootism et cetera. But I put it on for this swatch and no less than a morning afterwards, it's got tipwear like nobody's business. And I used a topcoat!
Berrylicious, why are you like this?

Have any of you guys run into this problem before?

Incarnation I of "Jigglypuff sees thee rollin', he hatin'."

And only one word in that title was relevent to the post. At all.
This. Is. JIGGLYPUFF. He/she (not really sure, not a big Pokemon fan to be honest) is one of the cutest characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which is how I know he/she/it. Plus it sings you to sleep as one of it's moves. How cool?
/explains the random z's on my remaining fingers.
It's "Incarnation I." because I'm planning to redraw Mr. Puff so it's less bumpy. I'm planning to get some acrylic paints because that seems to make nail art easier? I dunno.
This was pretty poor, though. Next time I'm planning either to do half a Jigglypuff, or size down the Jigglypuff on the middle finger. Ha. Jigglypuff. Try saying it out loud, the name makes me chuckle.
Nail art pens + permanent marker (great for outlining; not so good when you want to topcoat it and it smears like melted chocolate on a snow white school t-shirt - baaaaad memories) + Boots No7 polish in something involving pink or fuschia. It had a gold lid, I believe.

Pink and Grey Experiments

Before you see the pictures, I apologise for the lack of cleanup - I just /knew/ I'd be told to take it off at school so painted it the night before and quickly snapped it before I went to school.

So it's my alltime favourite hot pink (I only have two, but let's overlook that little fact, shall we) over BeautyUK's "Slate". I've always wanted to do a pink and grey look and will probably repeat this one at some point, but neatly.

There's a bit of bonus Konading for you on the middle finger. It's the Miss Sporty brand but I don't think they name their polishes, so it's just the black polish with the blue lid lol.

It needs improvement, but what do you guys think about the colour combination?

I've managed to out-cheapass myself.

I knew you didn't think it was possible...but it is. I'd be ashamed if the colour wasn't so great.

My sister recieved a set of four, small, generic nail polishes from Boots for a birthday party when she was, I dunno, eight or something. She was tidying up her room and decided to give them to me as she never used them and I love doing my nails.

You see the little rings on the top? Those are so cute :P
Anyway, I didn't hold much hope for them until I tried the the second to last shimmery glittery one with the purple ring over Nails Inc Sloane Mews to go to school. Not only was it totally school friendly, but it looked great. And today, I tried out the hot pink one at the beginning, and WOW.

Yum.
I assure you that these pictures do not do this baby justice. It is GORGEOUS. It's such a hot pink that it's almost neon, and it's majorly shiny without a topcoat. I want to eat it. It's great.
I noticed a few bubbles after I put the topcoat on, though, which was disapointing. And the formula is quite runny, you do have to work to stop it flooding your cuticles. Still, this was only two coats and it had reached bottle colour. I think I can overlook the rest of the annoyances just for the colour :P I don't know how you'd buy this though. I'm under the impression it's aimed at seven year olds wanting to play dressup or something. Sigh. Boots No7 is good though, I doubt you'd find this colour there. So, a breakdown of the set:

First, this is the only opaque one and the one featured in the pictures. It has a hint of bluey shimmer to it and is just generally gorgeous. Like I said, there's some bubbling but the colour...yum. So much better in real life, I promise. These are all 5 ml so three of them are equal to one bottle of OPI but as I see it, I'll get through it faster and then can franken with the empty bottles, haha :P Plus, the cute rings on top can be painted the colour of the franken so I'll have matching rings like I've seen so many other bloggers do! Yey!

This is also really good. It's silver glitter suspended in a "pink" mixture, but when worn as a standalone polish (as they recommend, which I've only done once for school) it was practically clear. I wore this over a very unopaque white (Sloane Mews, which I reviewed in the link) and it was slightly noticeable, but not much. The glitter was good, though. It's very fine and gives it that mysterious shine.

Bleuch. Disapointment. This confetti thing was horrendous. I couldn't even get any! Only one or two pieces would end up on my brush and the confetti looked like an accident on my nails. What a shame, because it looked nice in the bottle.
I don't know if you can tell by the picture, but this has long strands of silver glitter in it, though they are quite sparse. I haven't tried this yet but I assume it'll work like the blackcurranty coloured one above, which would be a disapointment. Still, I have hope.

I think the hot pink colour is so great I can't bear to draw over it! Sorry to keep going on about the colour but seriously, in real life it is gorgeous. Also, I'd just like to say thank you to everyone that has commented recently! (Susie, WizardsOfBling, Crystaliciousss) It makes me really happy :P

EDIT: You guys know I'm on the Easter holidays at the moment? I forgot to mention :P In the UK we get about two weeks off for Easter, so that's why I'm having very brightly coloured nails at the moment. When we go back to school, I'll have to go back to sheers and subtle nail art (grr) until the weekend. I'm thinking of swatching stuff on my toes instead to show it to you guys, though I feel kind of weird flashing my feet online...what do you guys think?
