The Student's Guide To Nail Polish
So much makeup. Such little student finance. A fight against the draconian makeup policies of a Catholic school. (2013)

Long gone.
I'm seriously running out of interesting titles. (Kiko 273)
JUST LOOK AT THE PRETTY*
*slightly sarcastic, I am aware that my cuticles are minging. The dry, unforgiving winter air decided to vacuum every last drop of moisture out of my already Gobi-esque hands. Thanks winter. I really appreciate it.
This is the free Nails Inc polish, 'Basil Street', that Glamour magazine were giving away, over which a layer of Kiko nail polish is applied. I quite like the 'flaky' effect that this one gives, and I don't own any other top coats like it, so I consider it a good buy.
As always, the Kiko polish had an impeccable formula and this manicure lasted for about four days without chips, which is a big thing for me as my nails are quite chip prone :/ Basil Street took about three coats to get to the level of opacity that I really like, but two are more than sufficient for most others.
I decided to go classier this year and stick to a nude polish. The Kiko topcoat creates a sort of shimmering effect, almost like rain or snowflakes. Christmassy enough? Probably not. I didn't really put any effort in *hangs head*.
Wishing all blog readers a really happy Christmas!
My Christmas Presents
Late much?
I haven't seen too many of these, so either it's incredibly tacky or people just don't do them. I'm mildly cautious but OK.
I totally stacked them all up in a box. Some of the stuff in there isn't beauty related so I'm not covering it.
A cosmetics holder/sorter! I'm not sure where this came from, but it's seriously neat.
I'd asked for this because I have a tonne of old polishes that are too thick to use. The bottle is huge. Hopefully, it'll last me a long time.
I found it curious that the dropper was bent, though!
Lastly, Boots No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara. I've seen good reviews of this so I have high hopes for it. I think this came with the free eyeshadow palette, back when they were giving out the vouchers, but my mum kept that for herself trololol.
Not pictured are the Sleek palettes (Two Sparkles and an Original). I wanted to buy the Good Girl one but it was all sold out (yes, I did pick out my own presents. Problem? ;D) so I got two Sparkle palettes with the intention of selling one.
What did you guys get for Christmas, if you celebrate it?
Christmas Manicure Part II
This year, one of my friends said, completely seriously, that it was "only Christmas when the Coca-Cola santa came on TV". I promptly slapped that idea out of his head. Still, I put it on my thumb anyway. Here's for you, Miguel.
Have an awfully corporate christmas!
Christmas Manicure Part I
The nice, traditional version.
I don't actually like this light blue. Have no idea why I decided to wear it. :/
Year End Round Up - Products I've Got High Hopes For
Moon Care Lip Balm
This is a repurchase. I love it, it really seals the moisture in without really feeling like there's anything on your lips. I hate feeling like there is product on my lips, which is why I'm not a huge lip gloss fan - in fact, it's taken me ages to even start wearing a balm - but yeah, this really moisturises well. I like it. Let's hope it continues performing well in 2011!
Rescue Oil.
The cheap Bio Oil rip off from the pound shop, I'm really hoping that this will make the scar on my knee less visible. Hopefully in time for summer. I want to wear shorts! *pouts*
I'm wondering if there's a specific way to apply this product? I've heard talk of people buffing it in with like a body brush. Have any of you guys used this?
Oh, and Merry Christmas, ya'll. I would have made a seperate post, but I guess everyone's been doing that lately :P
