The Student's Guide To Nail Polish
So much makeup. Such little student finance. A fight against the draconian makeup policies of a Catholic school. (2013)

So. This is the pleasantly green creation I have made from that hideously yucky yellow colour I had. You guys wanted me to show the result to you, so here it is!
I did make a camouflage nail art design out of it (as I was going paintballing for a friend's birthday party) but I didn't take a picture :( next time eh?
It dries really quickly, which is always a plus, and has some sparklly shimmer in it.
I've missed you guys :)

Light Blue Franken
Unsatisfied with the hue, I added some white nail polish. That white nail polish is all finished now because I used the rest in the next franken coming up.
I did have a couple more swatches for you but they're on my laptop - which is in repair. Don't worry though, I'll keep the nails coming :P

Green Franken
I've got more frankens coming up! Sorry for the short post.
Looks like someone sneezed all over my toes.
Ahaha. Aren't you sick of my frankens yet?
I used the empty bottle of lilac nail polish that I used in my very first post (ah, the memories!) and filled it with the Wilkinson's blue (that is really starting to annoy me as it chips so easily, so I'm trying to use it up) and some of a metallic yellow nail art pen that leaks everywhere. Sigh. Added some gold glitter into the mix and some of the Boots confetti blackcurranty nail polish that I reviewed yesterday. Stir it all up and you have....
Image from Dr Frankenpolish. But yeah. Swatches:
You see my legwarmers?
Look! My fingers match my legwarmers! Just thought I'd share.
What do you guys think then?
Oh, and also I was going to quickly compare the two moisterisers that I use, Palmer's Cocoa Butter and Dove.
I love the smell of Palmer's so use it on my face, as it's not greasy at all and makes my face look great.
But I use the Dove over my body as it gives it a noticeable shine and feels really moisterising. Which is great, especially if you're wearing a skirt in summer and you want your legs to look their best, but on your face it can look a little odd.
What beauty products are you guys into? xxx.
Happy Easter! Screw you Avon. Plus Easter Themed Nail Art.
Yeah, that's right.
The gorgeous Avon "Flash" that I swatched yesterday? It chipped after about a day and a half. I was horrified. It was SERIOUS chipwear. :( Such a shame, when "Minimalistic Peach" - which I reviewed here - lasted without any chips until I took it off. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and put it down to the topcoat, which probably last saw light some time in the 90's (meh. It was free.) and was really rather gloopy. I'll swatch it again at some point.
Purple Franken
This is my second franken. I should have written down a recipe but I literally took an old, empty w7 nail polish bottle (base coat with ginseng) and added some blue nail art glitter, some green nail art glitter (from the nail art pens from Hong Kong, I never use the glitters) a relatively sheer Sally Hansen Diamond Hard (some of it, not a lot) and some Barry M in Raspberry and a whole lot more. The result was meh. I really wanted a duochrome but I don't/didn't really know how to go about making one of those and the Internet, for once, was no help. If anyone has any tips, please share! :) This is what it looks like though:
It's a lot more blue on the hands than the picture above shows.
It doesn't seem to mix very well but I don't have any ball bearings. Oh, and it dries satiny. Very nice :)
Do you guys think those two polishes look similar? The china glaze one is waaaay darker, of course, but the glitter...
Like I said, if anyone could give me pointers as so making a duochrome - much appreciated. Thanks!
Frankens and Konad!
My school's production of Les Mis ended a week ago and since I was involved (playing the violin in the orchestra, it was great fun!) I went to the afterparty at the boy who plays Marius's house yesterday :P Was great fun, but this is how my nails looked like:
